La recherche de Macha Pangilinan gravite principalement autour du corps et de sa représentation sensuelle dans différents environnements dramatiques. Macha Pangilinan, artiste russo-philippine, est diplômée de Beaux-Arts de Moscou.
Macha a su attirer l'attention de Carré sur Seine, lors de sa participation aux Rencontres Artistiques de 2021, avec son travail classique et figuratif en réécrivant des images connues par le grand public.
Suite à la réunion du10 mai 2022, présidée par Céline Bailleul, nous avons leplaisir de vous annoncer que le Jury a choisi de récompenser Macha Pangilinan, lauréate de cette édition 2021-22 des Ecoutez-Voir, par un prix de 2 000 euros.
Expliquer son travail est un exercice essentiel dans le milieu de l'art et les artistes ont menéchaque présentation avecsoinetdynamisme.Les échanges qui ont suivi leur présentation avec les membres de l'association ont été très enrichissants.
La démarche et la recherche artistique de chacun des travaux presentés a suscité un grand intérêt et le Jury a été sensible à l'originalité des oeuvres de Macha Pangilinan et au message véhiculé.

Macha Pangilinan is a russian artist with Filipino origins. Born in 1990 in Kurgan (Russia) and obtained her art education at the Moscow Academy of Fine Arts named after V.Surikov. After moving to Paris in 2014, the artist began to experiment with inventing her own artistic language and the creation of her world. The main interest in her work concentrates on the human body and its sensious representation in different dramatic environments. The objectification of the male body plays a very important role in the work of Macha Pangilinan. For her, as a woman, it is a natural need to try to respond to the "male gaze" in the history of Western art. “Do women have to be naked to enter the Metropolitan Museum?” - this famous question, asked by the Guerrilla Girls, sums up the conflict within her work. She transcends the scenes from reality, expressing often a dark and disturbing strangeness. Playing with the representation of myths, Macha Pangilinan elegantly composes hypnotic and fascinating worlds, where the characters, as well as places, seem wholly linked to the elements. In Macha’s works the classical barriers of genre and style are blown away: everything and anything deserves to be passed through the filter of aesthetics, mirroring the course of life, in which all the terms of the worldwide equation interfere with each other, leaving an infinity of prints and mutual influences, to be translated into the language of Art. |
