Corneille along the joy Come and discover the work of Guillaume Corneille (1922-2010), a prolific artist and extraordinary colourist. Throughout his life, Corneille sought joy everywhere: he exalted it in the luxuriance of nature and in various parts of the world, and also alongside his friends and the artists who fascinated him, or in homage to the beauty of women. The exhibition allows you to experience all the creative periods of the artist, for whom printmaking was a constant practice. Enriched with over 150 works, the journey will thrill you with the diversity of his approaches, the constancy of his energy, his poetry, his relationship with animal life, and everything that makes up the splendour of the world. He is one of the greatest colourists of the art of the second half of the 20th century, from his COBRA years to his admiration for Van Gogh-who was like him a Dutchman exiled to Auvers-sur-Oise.
