L'exposition vous permet de vivre toutes les périodes créatives de l'artiste pour qui l'estampe est une pratique constante. Riche de plus de 150 œuvres, le parcours vous enthousiasmera par la diversité de ses approches, la constance de son énergie, sa poésie, sa relation à la vie animale et de tout ce qui fait la splendeur du monde. Il est l'un des plus grands coloristes de l'Art de la seconde moitié du XXᵉ siècle et ce, dès ses années CoBrA jusqu'à son admiration pour Van Gogh, comme lui hollandais exilé à Auvers‑sur‑Oise.

Zijn leven lang ging Corneille overal op zoek naar vreugde: hij verheerlijkte ze in de weelderige natuur, overal ter wereld, maar ook aan de zijde van zijn vrienden en van de kunstenaars die hem fascineerden, of in zijn eerbetoon aan de schoonheid van de vrouw.

Corneille was een van de grootste coloristen van de tweede helft van de 20e eeuw, van zijn COBRA-jaren tot zijn bewondering voor Van Gogh, net als hijzelf een Nederlander die woonde in Auvers-sur-Oise.
